We have now been to
Crich tramway museum on two occasions, it is set in the hillside
above Matlock Bath Derbyshire.
It gives a fascinating insight into a bygone age when most of
the larger cities had trams running through their streets.
Because of the unusual form of transport the museum seems to
be a hit especially with the children, as once you have paid at
the gate they can hop on and off these fantastic old machines
all day.
Also the museum is set out in the form of an old street which
complements the trams ideally.
If you are looking for a day with a difference which will
suit old and young alike well give Crich a try. |
